Maverick was the much anticipated new roller coaster of the 2007 season at Cedar Point and the first new coaster since Top Thrill Dragster. Cedar Point delayed the opening of the ride due to the heartline roll being removed. Maverick Media Day was held on May 31, 2007 a couple of days before ride opening.
